Yellow Bride deals with the ways memory, wishful fancies and reality intermingle in the human psyche. It explores the fragile transition between happiness and sorrow and vice versa and illustrates the way unaccomplished desires detach us from reality.
The dance piece is based on the traditional Caucasian folk song Sari Gelin ("Yellow Bride"). Common to a variety of cultures around Caucasia, Turkey and Iran, the song has many versions that usually tell the story of a wedding that was cancelled at the last moment.
Fitting Room premiered in Tanzwoche Festival in Dresden, Germany and was also included in Bat Yam International Street Theatre Festival.
